This show struck a rather emotional chord with me.
One that I had not really expected. Music is one of those things
that can bring you right back to a place and time in a way that
few things can. The Gun Club was the sound track for much of my
personal descent into the depths of a love/hate relationship with
the poppys. I'd be lying if I tried to deny that it brought back
a yearnings for things I'd like to keep in my past. So I had a
couple more shots of Jameson and visited with some old friends
that I hadn't seen in at least a decade or more. The performers
consisted of members of The Dwarves as well as several old band
mates from Ribzy who all sounded in top form. It was great hearing
all those great songs with such heartfelt intensity and passion.
Jeffery Lee Pierce was honored that night and a good time was had
by all.....
