JIMI LA LUMIA stayed close to New York City during the Holiday Season.......People were shocked by the deaths of PETE SHELLEY who was a true punk pioneer and, with the BUZZCOCKS, created some timeless classics of irrepressible, irreverent, and thrilling punk rock. Another death that has upset many in San Francisco was the passing of Photographer GEORGE WESTCOTT.... His death was due to alcohol.... He has been in a bad state for quite some time. He lost his apartment and all his negatives of all the bands and people he photographed were stolen... JIMMY WILSEY'S fatal Heart Attack triggered so many emotions on Social Media.. JIMMY was a great person and a very talented musician..... People from all over were paying tribute to him..... PATRICIA BAKER contacted me with the news...... We have stayed in contact with more information about his passing... KEN BERRY'S (F TROOP, HERBIE THE LOVE BUG) death was very sad as well.... His daughter JENNY BERRY was heartbroken..... I have known JENNY for years back when she was married to BILL BATEMAN from THE BLASTERS...... We recently reconnected and she is living a very happy life now..... ALICE BAG had to pull out of the show because she has pneumonia..... Sadness in December The untimely death of JIMMY WILSEY ex bass player for THE AVENGERS and guitar player for CHRIS ISAAK of a heart attack on Christmas eve at 4:20 PM put Social Media on fire.... JIMMY and I became friends in the late 70's when I was beginning to do PUNK GLOBE.... He was always a sweetheart and a true talent.... We hooked up again in the 90's when I moved to Hollywood.. He was living with his brother and was working in an antique shop... He was the person who got me going to Al's Bar regularly where I discovered old pals like SHARON NEEDLES, TOAST, JULA BELL, WINTER ROSEBUDD, LIZ MCGRATH, DEZ CADENA, PAIGE DARLING, RIK COLLINS, BIANCA BUTHOLE, DUKEY FLYSWATTER and so many more... JIMMY and WINTER married and WINTER threw the best parties ever... They had a child WAYLON and moved to Eagle Rock... I am saddened by his passing and all the great memories we had..... Here is his signature guitar riff in Wicked Games I hope you are in peace sweet JIMMY....
