Zwish is an extremely talented grunge punk rock band from Canberra Australia. Grip on Reality is a sensational album (2007) that kickass from beginning to end. Zwish is complied with harmonious vocals, sweet melodic music, and dirty rock grunge. Zwish infuse their own uniqueness into their music with influences from Hole, Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth, and Nirvana.

Toy Boy one of my favorite tunes rocks out with loaded distorted guitar and deep sexy vocals rippin out the lyrics and kickass drumming. Inspired by the stupidity of gangster rap yet delivered in dirty grunge rock fashion, also check out the very clever Lego video clip for this song! "Pretty face, you know your place."

Sorry Is The Hardest Word is a song that gives mainstream society and their disapproving looks the bird. This is dished out rawly with plenty of attitude in punk grunge rock style. “I’m so sorry I’m not some mind-fuck clone.”

Radical Individualist is loaded with distortion, it grinds out slowly at the start then takes off. With that brilliant deep voice twistin out the lyrics about mainstream society trying to dictate how a woman should be with her own sexuality and the mass media using sex to sell anything under the sun. “ “Androgynous struggle right through to the core”

Don't Let Them Cut Your Roses Down a sweet melodic track addressing the issue of living with someone who is close to you that suffers from depression. An introspective song, where the music produces the deepness and seriousness of the situation. “I know that you’ve followed songs that have lead you nowhere.”

Slave a song for all who think that you exist only for them and their will. A punk rock song with a heap of energy and a surfie grunge breakdown at the end. “ “You shove, you thrust, you grab, just a little more.”

B.A.B.Y a swingin punk rock song, about well I was told cleaning products coming alive and seducing them with promises of pleasure!!! Obviously we have all consumed things we shouldn’t have but it is shame we all don’t produce tunes like this when we do! Brilliant song! “I’ll get your teeth white, Help you sleep at night.”

Superstar depicting consumer society, about how brand labels making people who they are. A song that twists out seductively and jam packed with plenty of distorted guitar. “Cause my accessories, They complete me.”

I'm Your Drug And You're My Curse being addicted to a person who doesn't return the same feelings about you. Rocking track, with intensity and some sweet ambient music infused amongst the chaos before climaxing towards the end where all hell breaks loose. “You’re my dream, I am your nightmare.”

I Don't Really Care Well we have all had them! Flings that end awry. This is a driving punk rock song! “I hate you and stupid laugh and your head so full of air.”

She'll Be A Star About a girl who lived her life permantantly competing in a popularity contest. A 60's hippy love free rock feeling song. “She’s fake of hair, She’s fake of heart.” You Reduce Me To A Whisper Of What I Am a sweet punk pop song about those awkward and stupid moments at a start of a new relationship with someone who you are still trying to impress and losing yourself in the process. “I got the blindness, I got the bliss in me.”

I Am An Emotional Devil a big orchestrated song with a bit of everything twisted in it producing an 80's feel. “I’ll take, I’ll break, abuse, confuse,”

There is a Bonus Song it is piano tune with haunting vocals and that is all I will say about! You will just have to get your own copy to hear it.

Zwish is a brilliant band, and are much underrated! Leah Wheelhouse's vocals are something else and it's time that world caught on. Go and check Zwish out to get a sweet taste of punk dirty grunge rock in ya mouth!
