Due to the cost of this new treatment of PDT, a concert in aid of the Killing Cancer charity has been put together by two very influential people in the world of rock, Harvey Goldsmith, rock concert promoter and manager of The Who, Bill Curbishley. Money from this once in a life time concert, will help go towards a revolutionary therapy that will change the lives of millions of cancer sufferers worldwide. is this the end of
an era for Myspace? Myspace is downsizing with up to half of the workforce facing redundancy... I used to be a keen My Spacer. Was on it daily but only use it now for occasional band/music use, it is a shame to see it fall as it was thriving in its time before facebook! 3-5 years ago it was the best social networking site to be on.. but now everyone seems to just use facebook.. My Space has changed so much in recent times it doesn't even work properly.. does that sound familiar with recent facebook changes going on also? I just wish these stupid sites would just leave it alone.. they are always playing with them and as we are seeing it only makes it alot worse!!

"Week two in the studio dawns with much to be satisfied with. We made much quicker progress in the first week than we were expecting in the end, finishing up all drums, bass, piano and electric guitars, as well as nailing the atheist gospel choir thing. This morning my good friend Franz Nicolay came in to play accordion, and we've started in on the vocals now, which is always the most nerve-wracking part of the process for me, personally. But we're nearly 3 songs down already, so we're making good time. We're working on 15 songs; I doubt that all of them will make the album proper (though it's tempting). Everything sounds really strong right now.
Two of the UK's biggest music labels are to tackle the problem of piracy by releasing singles for sale as soon as they hit the airwaves. From February 1, Universal & Sony Music will start the "On Air- On Sale" policy. Usually songs are played on radio and TV as a pre-promotion for up to six weeks before they are released for sale. The practice has gradually become redundant as impatient music lovers go online to listen instantly to new music and often illegally download the songs. Sky News' entertainment editor Jon Bennett says - The music industry has had to modernise. "At the moment a song is played and is immediately available on sites like YouTube where it can be pirated but not available to buy." What music labels are beginning to realize is that the easiest way to minimize the effects of piracy, & make it easier for people to buy music.

German Band 'Apocalyptica' have been forced to pay Rammstein €45,000 (£38,000) after admitting in court to copyright infringement. The complaint stemmed from the advertising campaign for Apocalyptica's 2007 album ‘Worlds Collide’, on which Rammstein’s Till Lindemann was one of the guest vocalists. The CD was sold with a sticker across its cover that said it featured "Rammstein" and not just Lindemann...
