Sometimes in life you just have to make a change. Vicki Wagner knows all about this she has had many life changes she has been a biker’s daughter, a Catholic school girl, a member of the US Air Force, a talk show host and a standup comic. I recently sat down with Vicki for a chat about her life and standup career. Vicki started her career doing standup after getting booted from the military during the “don’t ask don’t tell” era. They asked and she told. While taking a standup class her instructor said talk about what you know and who you are and made it clear to Vicki this was the start of her act. Vicki went on to become a hit in the standup world making the rounds to all the clubs and winning awards. Then she got ill and need to get away from performing for a while.

Well she is better and now she is back! I was able to check out her set recently at The Comedy Store on Sunset Blvd. Her set is very high energy and non-stop funny. I won’t quote her set but be assured you will laugh. Her comedy isn’t I’m a nice girl comedy it is right in your face and very fast moving. I would suggest seeing her now! She is going to be big very big and then you can say “I saw her when”. Vicki also has a local West Hollywood based talk show featuring comics who happen to be in town.
