The Punk/Rock/Ska band The
Pints are a trio hailing from Brisbane, Australia. The Pints formed in 2005 and have toured nation wide, they
have supported bands such as; Dropkick Murphys, Sick Of It All, The
Adicts, Anti Nowhere League and Slick 46. Their latest contribution to
the music world has received nation wide airplay. "The White Plague" is
an amazing fast and furious album containing plenty of hammering drums,
infectious guitar riffs and energetic punk raw lyrics. The Pints fuse Punk/Rock/Ska music generating unique tunes
with influences of NOFX, Bad Religion, Lars Fredrickson and the
Bastards and The Vandals.
To Further Economy You Kill Off Your Country,
kick starts the album with furious drumming, guitar riffs and chanting
lyrics.
Americannottakeover has a bass riff intro,
leading into a ska drumbeat, infused with punk rock, distorted guitar
riffs and brilliant lyrics about how Americanized Australia has become.
"If you got what we want we'll take it the American way."
One Month Retirement a voice for the working class, with intense
bass riffs, infectious guitar riffs and solid drumming! "Whats the point when your not so free, worked to the bone
then to a nursing home."
Golden Shower has Oi's, humorous lyrics to chant along with
and infectious guitar riffs, love this tune! "She likes mutilation he likes to get pissed on, each to
their own don't do that shit around me."
Greed Hate & Power, machine gun drumming intro, short loud
and fast tune with chanting lyrics.
"It’s time to turn the tide and stand up and fight"
You Can't Hug Your Children With Nuclear Arms this was the
first single off the album, with loaded guitar riffs, a chant along
lyrics and slammin’ drums.
"Nuclear arms embrace us all don't be fooled these hugs
aren't warm,"
The White Plague is
definitely an album that belongs in a handy place in your Punk Music
Collection. The Pints are a band that is
consistently working on new material with another album to be released
maybe later this year or early next year. They are a band that we will
all definitely hear from in future times as their reputation for
energetic live performances and their talent of producing brilliant
punk music and growing support should see them go far. Hard to believe
that these guys are still officially unsigned, what is this saying
about punk music in Australia!
Check out The Pints arsenal of punk music!
