"The War on Drugs has morphed into the Opiod Crisis where the scapegoat is the physician who can be slapped with a misdemeanor unless he follows government guidelines. The pharmaceuticals are free from prosecution. But the recent bust in NYC was of Fentanyl imported from China. Another from Mexico, Colombia, etc. Sonny Bradford, former Naval Special Ops and worked for the US government up into the Obama Administration and TLGS source said when his team would go out on tour spotting vessels smuggling, they brought in only 2% of blow 95-100% pure. Follow the money trail..." Nikki Palomino

During interviews Januaray 9-13,1987 Kalish provided information regarding the plans by himself and his organization to import 400,000 pounds of marijuana boxed and labeled as bananas in containerized cargo using the vessel "Carrie Cargo." The boxes would be printed up by Ceasar Cura with the company name "National Exporters of Fruit" and shipped from Turbo, Colombia. The "Carrie Cargo" would be registered in the name "World Transport and Trading."

Another 1 million pounds of marijuana from "Don" Julio Nassar-David, Barranquilla, Colombia would be imported on a tug and barge "The Master Blaster." The 100,000 pounds Don Juan wanted to import on the vessel "Carribean Sun" was scrapped by Kalish for a variety of reasons.

Kalish and Don Juan discussed the method of transporting the 1 million pounds of marijuana. Don Juan wanted a clandestine off-load.

The Don said, "I have four or five ships you can use."

Kalish shook his head no. "They only hold 150,000 pounds. The Bulldog Operation, we were able to utilize a tug and barge. I can't see any other form of transportation feasible."

Kalish could not recall when the tug was purchased. Don Juan purchased the tug, probably from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic with $400,000 which Kalish wired from his BCCI bank account in Panama. The tug was purchased before the barge. The barge was located by Richard Landow in Louisiana and purchased through Driver Associates, shipbrokers in Miami sometime in February 1984.

The Don and his associate, Simon Gutierrez De Pineres, had a contact in Panamanian Customs and a major in the Panamanian Defence Forces that, through these connections, he would secure paperwork for the tug and barge. The paperwork would indicate the barge was carrying oil from Exxon refinery in Panama to Coatzacoalcos, Mexico, a large oil port in the Gulf of Mexico. The US Coast Guard would not usually attemp to stop a tug and barge at sea but would contact by radio for the barge to give proper answers about documentation, port of origin, destination, supply the name of a shipping port of origin and a shipping agent they could contact to confirm.

Kalish saw all the paperwork and believes it was delivered to the captain of the tug.

The result was "The Master Blaster" which would head up the Mississippi River at New Orleans into the Missouri River to a turkey farm Lanny had found. There the 1 million pounds of pot would be off-loaded and transported thoughout the United States and sold.

"The Last Gentleman Smuggler" By Steven Kalish & Nikki Palomino is about the largest smuggling operation in U.S. history. Coming 2018-2019 Print and TV series.

PBS brings 6 episodes on Dictators currently in production with Toronto, Canada's Cream Productions known for its documentaries and television. At the end of November, Cream shot Steven M. Kalish in Washington D.C., journalist John Dinges, "Our Man in Panama" and interviewed Steven in late 80s, but at the time and still incarcerated, Steven didn't reveal much. The reason Noriega was chosen to feature for one PBS episode was his connection with the U.S., having been on the CIA payroll since 1976. Director Mark Stevenson was compelled by Steven Kalish's story and how a white boy from Texas could rise to Manuel Noriega's right-hand man. Steven talked about "The Last Gentleman Smuggler" by Steven M. Kalish and Nikki Palomino. Cream Productions PBS series will air in Spring/Summer 2018.

You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view—until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.
