Ladies and Gentleman:
THE GYPSY POET
Interview By: Ginger Coyote
I met "The Gypsy Poet" when Girl George asked me to be a guest on their radio show... I was overwhelmed by how sweet and vivacious she was. Another added bonus about her, is how supportive of other people she is.. She and Girl George work perfectly together on the radio show... I hope you enjoy our interview... And be sure to listen to her radio show....
Punk Globe:
How did you get Girl George involved with the show?
THE GYPSY POET:
Girl George was on a show of mine a few years ago, and I called her up on December 2012, and asked her to be my guest again, and she says, “I got all these crazy friends, why don’t we get them all on the show?” And I said, “SURE, WHY NOT??” And we have been dragging all these crazy lunatics on this show, ever since and having the time of our lives!!

Girl George has is this edgy personality and she never fails to show it. She is gutsy and that is contagious and she has stories that could fill a whole book with lots of humor, adventure and incredible material that would make traditional fairy tales look completely outdated. Girl George is unconventional, refreshing, relentless, rebellious and spirited. She is on the cutting edge, raw and true, no one messes with her, and she rocks it like she talks it. Having her involved makes it fun and pure dynamo!
Punk Globe:
I must admit that you and Girl George have a very good chemistry on the show?
THE GYPSY POET:
CHEMISTRY!!! YES! Good word, here! We are yin and yang, we are on this road together. George is dynamic, brilliant, genius! I set the earth on fire from the bottom, but George brings it to the surface! Punk Globe:
Can you give the readers some background about yourself?
THE GYPSY POET:
I am from Texas and since my mom is a painter, art and music run through me. I play piano since I was a little kid. Free thinking is a given. Words and beats are crucial in my life-- anything new, fresh, creative, and to the point, I jump right in with both feet! I like a little wit and grit, too!
Punk Globe:
Tell us what made you start doing your Internet radio show?
THE GYPSY POET:
I started Gypsy Poet Radio as a way to get people talking. Refreshing, new different and fiery and a way to find out what's out there; and being "The Gypsy Poet" chose me for three reasons: 1) It describes me best of being: exotic, open, nomadic, adaptable and clever, 2) something people can remember easily and 3) a great way to keep my mystery!
Punk Globe:
Give the readers some details about the show?
THE GYPSY POET:
The show is a ride in itself--Exploring the uncommon parts that have shaped our culture, finding that magic and taking people with us along for the ride, because that is what people enjoy finding: the magic, the fire! Girl George makes that happen along the way.
Punk Globe:
It seems that Girl George has implemented videos on You Tube with your interviews from the show. Tell us about that?
THE GYPSY POET:
Girl George takes the audio from our show and puts it with the pictures of the guests and tries to put them in sync so they sorta go together. At the end, she puts their music.

This process takes 18 hours straight till 6 am in the morning, going blind and crazy, but somehow manages to get it done every Monday and stick it up on youtube.
Punk Globe:
Tell us about your mix of words/poetry?
THE GYPSY POET:

It truly RAWKS to have done this interview and Punk Globe is awesome! It is one place to find anything and everything people want to know. It is the one place where true art can be found... Art is about creating even ourselves and The Gypsy Poet never stops creating— The most important and fundamental thing to remember is this: Don't ever stop creating because you will never know the future!
