The Biters are a hot punk band that are about to kick off a nationwide tour with Social Distortion. They have the power-pop roots of Cheap Trick and the sexy edge of the New York Dolls. The album kicks off with the tune “Born To Cry” which is one of the more poppy numbers on the album. Iggy Pop is channeled with the tune “The Boys Alright,” well kinda, not really. It’s what Iggy would sound like if he was younger and radio friendly. “Breakin Your Heart Again” is what Green Day wishes they sounded like; but, that would mean Green Day would be punk! “Hold On” is one of the best power-pop songs of the past year, it kicks ass and features top notch drumming. “Other Side” is, again, killer power-pop with sexy vocals! “It Ain’t That Easy” is a punk infused song that has lyrics everyone can relate to. “Shout It!” has chant background vocals everyone can sing to and the closing track “No Connection” has indie rock written all over it!
