Skeleton Key Auctions is an auction website
put together to raise funds for Damien, Jessie and Jason’s defense (WM3
– http://www.wm3.org). Items auctioned
off on this site will be product of individuals, bands, artists who
believe in the innocence of the West Memphis Three.
Skeleton Key Auctions (www.skeletonkeyauctions.com)
is selling donated merchandise from prominent musicians, writers, and
visual artists who believe in the innocence of Damien Echols, Jessie
Misskelley, Jr., and Jason Baldwin—known as the West Memphis Three. The
trio have been imprisoned for over a decade—with Echols on death row—for
the brutal murders of three elementary school children. Since HBO aired
a documentary (Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills)
chronicling the aftermath of these crimes, a groundswell of support has
formed around the three inmates—with artists such as Henry Rollins,
Margaret Cho, Metallica, and Eddie Vedder speaking out on their behalf.
The auctions held on skeletonkeyauctions.com will raise funds for the
West Memphis Three's appeals.
Having no physical evidence, three teenagers were pinpointed, harassed
and accused of murdering and mutilating three 8-year-old boys. June 3,
2007 will mark the 14-year anniversary Damien Echols was arrested along
with Jessie Misskelley Jr. and Jason Baldwin dubbing them the West
Memphis Three. Damien Echols sits on death row, Jason Baldwin was
sentenced to life without parole, and Misskelley got life plus forty.
