Shitswarm is a four piece punk band that spawns from the UK. Shitswarm is a mysterious band, no one is sure of exactly who is in Shitswarm, all members have pseudonyms and they refuse to play live at any venue that enforces a smoking ban, they also have an innate reluctance of being photographed by mobile phones. Of course a band shrouded with anomity and full of idiosyncrasies is appealing, add to that their views and attitudes on refusing backing from major record labels, this band truly believes in their punk beliefs and objectives of "No Surrender, No Compromise." 

Shitswarm have an enormity of influences in their music including bands like Sex Pistols, The Stranglers, The Clash, The Damned, Dead Kennedys, Sham 69, Vice Squad, Rancid, Green Day, Nirvana, The Stooges, The Ramones, and MC5. With such great taste in music no wonder Shitswarm is such a kickass band, they manage to blend their own uniqueness with their influences giving us some amazing punk music. 

Shitswarm's music is UK raw punk. The vocals spit out the clever lyrics that centre on capitalist greed, politics, mainstream trends, and environmental issues. Shitswarm hold back no punches, they are in your face with satirical humour and attitude. There music is punk/rock with a hint of experimental flair, solid drumbeats, infectious guitar riffs, thudding bass and some sampling infusion. 

Anti-thology, is brilliant little album that wormed itself under my skin with songs like Microchip Technology, "It's gonna end up under your skin." I particularly liked the tune Smilin' Snake, the lyrics are spat out with pure raw attitude and it contains a sweet infectious guitar riff. "They make my fuckin' piss boil." Global Warnin' is a highly addictive song, packed with intense urgency. "And of course I am here to help!" Other songs I highly recommend are Cyber Sewer, D.N.Alien, Tabz and Moonfaker. 

If you love your punk music, raw, full of attitude and satirical humour laced with that UK punk accent, well Shitswarm reek of it all! You just have to check this band out!
