REST OF MY LIFE - Transition:
by Anna Pirhana

Rest of My Life, known best for its emo-core, has such a complete sound.  There is something distant and remote about their sound, and it is capable of striking such a personal chord within its listeners such as in their latest EP, "Transition". The band is diverse in sound, from the stand out "My Limbs Are Your Trampoline", a wholly haunting piece that might best exemplify what emo-core is, to the more serene "Wish for Later Now".  For as unique as this genre might be, emo-core can sometimes come off as sounding a bit 70s and empty 80ish, sometimes treading on the dangerously boring, but Rest of My Life seems to happily transcend this.
