Ram Dug: We we're just like all the rest of the kidz back in the 70's bored pissed off lookin' for identity...When The Pistols took hold of this down trodden country & made such a big impact on all our lives then and to-day altho alot of wanker bandz out there wouldn't admit that...like many others we wanted to be a Sex Pistol hahahaaaa.
Punk Globe: When I saw you live, I noticed both you and Fred used White Gibson Les Paul guitars, your own one being a Steve Jones replica. Are the Pistols a huge influence on you, and if so, who else influences you?
Ram Dug: Yes The Pistols made a big impression on myself & others in the band,
they proved anyone can get on a stage & play 3 chords sing or shout about what is wrong in your eyes...aye we have white Les Pauls..but mines is real. Fred's came from China & is shit...hahaaaaaaaa
Theres alot of different influences in us...U.K.SUBS, Damned , Lurkers, G.B.H., Suburban Studs, Rezillo's, Chaotic Youth, Misty in Roots, Exploited, Slade, Defects, like everyone else who writes songs you try to be different but alot of the time its your own interpretation of who you listen too...
Ram Dug: We write about anything that pisses us off... Alot of the songz we do are 30 yrs old...& we have reintroduced them with a bit more venom..
Punk Globe: How did the Punk Rock lifestyle begin for you and what was the scene in Scotland like back then?
Ram Dug: Scotland needed punk there wozz no jobs people living out of each others pockets... A sad testiment to what the governments were doing to the working classes...Just like what they are doing to-day...(WANKERS)
The kidz back then went full out to be as outrageous as possible which wasn't hard as we had lived thro the crap all around us for far too long... Punk in Scotland wozz fearce it brought kidz to-gether we also had gang warfare to deal with... If you went out alone then the Teddy Boys would get you an smash fuck out you, hahaa it woz the same all over, the scene was really big & I still see some of the old school at the shows here...alot have died & been jailed or murdered... But punk is here bcozz we want it to be...
Ram Dug: Well I don't know what to say here as I've gigged with every band I grew up loving & listening to intently... We've shared the stage with all our childhood hero's plus Sir Charlie sung for us in Glasgow, that wozz a fantastic moment for me personally as I've alwayz been a huge SUBS fan so I suppose playing for Charlie would be my first choice... Sorry Jet mate...your out...hahahaaaaaaaaaaa...
Ram Dug: We take alot of merch to our showz which I hasten to add sell's really well (thanx folks for keeping us on the road)... Cd's, t-shirts - hoodies - shirts badges, an whitever we sell can be bought from us direct or thro facebook - ramdug - or by sending me a message or the dugz myspace - www.myspace.com/prairiedugz - www.myspace.com/ramdug & dugz promotionz -

We are trying to get our 8th album out the now we still haven't decided what's going on it yet but we have got about 15 songz to chose from just now so hopefully soon it will be done before the summer..hahaha I keep saying this... we will continue to keep doing shows here & in England loadz are lined up just now for the next few months so maybe we'll see some of the readers there... I said maybe hahaaaa anyway thanx to all the faithful who come to all or showz to the ones we missed and lost. from the DUGZ A BIG THANX ...
