Well I'm not the best writer in the world so bear with me. For those
of you who are unaware NXNE (North by Northeast) is the Sister fest to
Austin's SXSW. It takes place every June in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
This was the 19th year of the fest and it moved to a whole other
level. Free Shows by X, Mudhoney, The Stooges (more on these later)
and numerous others. 650 bands in 50 clubs over 5 nights, an industry
conference with keynote interviews (I sat in on a great interview with
John Doe and Exene) an affiliated Nxie fest focused on interactive
media. In general way too much to see and do for one person never mind
others who had teams of 10 trying to cover it all. I'll spin through a
brief recap of each night and provide what I really do images from
the fest.
