Nomad 67 at The Subways Gig

These Three Great Young musicians are Nomad 67, Alternative / Punk / Rock,
who hail from Worcestershire England. They were formed in 2004.

Jay Lawson -- Pearce Guitar and Vocals
Will Diment -- Drums & Vocals
Joe Shellam -- Bass Guitar & Vocals

Their main influences are Nirvana, The Who, The Sex Pistols, Joy Division, The Subways, The Offspring, The Beatles and Elastica. They say their sounds are "Big, nasty guitars that play off against some surprisingly tuneful melodies," on this muscular punk workout. More Nirvana than Rancid, it’s a good, dirty pop record !!

They recently played as a back up band for The Subways, live, at The Birmingham Carling Academy,
playing to over 3000 people, in October of 08, and have also covered tours to festivals
across Europe, including some in Holland and Switzerland.

I reviewed the live tracks on http://www.sonicbids.com/epk/epk.aspx?epk_id=63847
of them supporting The Subways, along with a few tracks of their discography, which is
available of twenty-one songs.

The Live tracks I listened to were:

I Surrender
Times Have Changed
The Type

I totally recommend you take a listen to see what their sounds are like live. Because to me, they sounded awesome live, with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. I wouldn't mind catching a gig of theirs now
I know what their live performance sounded like.

After I listened to the live tracks, I then took a listen to their recorded versions of the same songs; and it proved to me what a great band with a lot of potential they actually are. My favorite of the tracks I listened
to was "Times Have Changed," very catchy and had that punk rock touch!!
With blasts of great percussion, guitar riffs, awesome bass lines, with great very good vocals & strong lyrics.

Check them out on myspace at http://www.myspace.com/nomad67
& catch them live at their upcoming shows.
