After reading two of Blakeston’s works, Skinhead Away and Bare Knuckle Bitch I was in awe. So gritty, so hard, and such perfect writing.

After reading Blakeston’s work, I decided to pair the two works into one review. One word sums up his quality of writing: wow. I am thoroughly amazed at how Blakeston has perfected his craft. His characters are so vivid. They invoke real emotions into the reader; you both love, and hate the characters as though you personally know them.

When a writer is able to utilize their words in such powerful construction to invoke real, raw emotion—they are clearly working in the right field. I would love to gush about specific details and spoil the story for readers, but there is no fun in that.

All I can say is check out the work of Marcus Blakeston, you will laugh, you will cry, you will be infuriated—and most importantly, you will be entertained.
