Punk Globe: Nice to meet you all. My name is Ginger
(Shoga). Could you please tell me who the members of 'Jane the
Ripper' are and what they play...
Junko : Nice to meet you ,Shoga-san !
and Punk Globe.
We are JANE THE RIPPER.
I'm Junko. Drums and main vocal.
Miyuki : I'm Miyuki. Guitar and vocal.
Yuki: I'm Yuki. Bass and vocal.
Punk Globe: What part of Japan do you come from?
Osaka city.
Punk Globe: How would you best describe your music?
Rock'n'roll.
Garage punk.
Punk Globe: Who are some of your influences musically?
Junko : We are affected by a lot of bands......particular
like british bands.
The clash,The headcoats, The libertines.....
Miyuki : The beatles.
Yuki: Dr.Feelgood.
Junko : and of course we were affected by the many
japanese rock band.
Punk Globe: Please tell the readers about the scene in
Japan?
Miyuki : I think our music scene is not major in Japan. It
is scene of some enthusiastic people.
Punk Globe: My band The White Trash Debutantes have
toured Japan and were amazed by the clubs and how
efficient they are run. Do you feel the same way?
Junko : A lot of clubs were done in these past several
years.
The policy of the club is different, too.
Most clubs have good staff and perform many good events.
Punk Globe: I found that most all the clubs have
equipment there for the bands to play on and that the
majority of the sound people were Women..
Junko : Nice !
Miyuki : I 'm glad that women play an active part.
Yuki: I think that the sound staff of the women increased.
Punk Globe: Have you played outside of Japan?
Junko : Not yet .
We want to do the tour in the foreign country.
But yuki....She hates flights....haha.
Punk Globe: Do you have any Vinyl or CD'S released in
Japan or any other Country? If so what label?
Miyuki : Not yet.
Junko : Because, we are still rookies !
Yuki: We hope next year to be able to release a CD.
Punk Globe: Do you tour in Japan much?
Junko : We often play in Kyoto City.
I want to try the national tour in next year.
Punk Globe: Do you have any certain Japanese bands that
you enjoy playing with?
Yuki: Yes.
We play with a many good bands of the same type music.
Miyuki :Lots of good bands in Kansai (Japan west coast
side) area !
Punk Globe: Where is your favourite club and city to play
at in Japan?
Junko : [Yasou] in Kyoto city.
and [Pipe 69]in Osaka nanba.
Punk Globe: Any words of advice to bands wanting to come
and tour Japan for the first time?
Junko : Mostly japanese people are shy .....but kindness
and friendly.
Don't mind it ! you will talk positively.
Miyuki : Most of the English does not pass in
japan......haha !
Yuki: Hang on !
