with the
passing away of DAVY JONES of
THE MONKEE'S from a heart attack in Florida.. JAMIE RODRIQUEZ who played bass with RIBZY
also passed
away. There was huge memorial held for him at
The Blank Club in San Jose... ADRIAN CAVLAN of THE DIESEL QUEENS was a pallbearer at his funeral wrote
quite a
moving tribute for him on his
Facebook page.. I know that KOOK TEFLON who was born in San Jose was very shaken up by his passing as well... Everyone !!!

and MS. LIGAYA had the best time in Hawaii.. Sadly they had to return back to chilly Vancouver!!! Sadly IRIS BERRY
did not have the same luck
when she was planning a trip to Hawaii once again recently... A winter storm with gale force winds, rain and hail were making it's way through
the Islands. Making IRIS postpone her trip but sadly the storm came eastbound and rained cats and dogs for

WALTER, JANET CUNNINGHAM, PAUL ROESSLER, BATMAN, ANDRE along with her beautiful daughter and very nice boyfriend help her celebrate....
MERI ST. MARY
and MAGGIE performed a fun dance / vocal rap song about turning 50! Which got the night rolling with some fun Karaoke!!!
I started off doing a rousing
version of "The Time Warp" which was followed by BRIGITTE bringing down the house with "Ballroom Blitz.."Dee Jay
MIKE got into the action doing
"Nervous Breakdown." RICK WILDER shined while
NICKY BEAT did a version of "Cherry Bomb" all in all it was a great party... The week before
JANET CUNNINGHAM had her birthday and it was a wild party.... JANET showed us how New Orleans just loved the
late
DON CORNELIUS .. It was nice
running into TRUDIE and KK there.... I had not seen either of them for years.. We had a great time
catching up....
MERI has been having a grand
time while she has been here... Sadly she had to drive to San Francisco during the huge rainstorm to play a show on April 1 with
THE HOUSECOAT PROJECT .
The San Francisco land mark leather bar who started doing punk shows several years ago lost their lease because the property was sold...
Sadly she did not get to see JACKSON VRANA and JUSTIN CAMPAGNOLA who both celebrated birthdays during the same time as JANET and MAGGIE !!! JACKSON and
JUSTIN also moved from the Hollywood Hills to North Hollywood!! THE SITUATION is in rehab for prescription drugs.. SNOOKI is going to have a baby.....

IRIS BERRY treated GINGER COYOTE to dinner at Hollywood's oldest and maybe most famous restaurants MUSSO AND FRANKS ... We had reservations
for 8:15 and were seated promptly by the friendly Maitre D... Our waiter GIOVANNI was very efficient and had a wicked sense of humor...... We
were chatting about everything from the restaurant's colorful history, PEGGY GALLAGHER and the cast of SHAMELESS and of course out upcoming
movie shoot for STEVE BALDERSON for his film "FAR FLUNG" ...
We both hoped that JONATHAN PALEY will reconsider making an appearance... We were sitting there savoring our delicious food when the
infamous MARTIN MARTINI came strolling through the front door... MARTIN having
20/20 vision- proclaimed us the most beautiful Women in the restaurant.. He
immediately sent our waiter to our table to see if we wanted a cocktail... IRIS ordered
Coffee while I had a strong Margarita... Soon our very sweet waiter brought us some
more drink cards from our new fan MARTIN MARTINI ... We were having such a great
time with MR. MARTINI the time slipped away!! MARTIN proclaimed he was drunk
and had his cab out front to pick him up.. We soon followed suit except we left through
the kitchen out the back door to the parking lot in the back of the restaurant... It was a
wonderful way to spend a Wednesday evening!! SHARLA CARTNER is working
hard at her job... Making sure all is going well... She is going through her
evaluation period for a permanent position... She has also been fighting a bout with the flu...
DENISE "Give Me Some Sugar" DEMISE came down to Santa Monica for a visit for
a few days in mid March... Sadly we missed seeing each other.. She had just returned
from visiting New York recently... SUSAN NOVOTNY has been busy as a been
running RN DESIGNS while her husband RODDY is in Europe doing business.....
LISA BOOTH is so sad that she is going to miss seeing BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG
when he appears on "NURSE JACKIE" sharing a lip lock with the fabulous EDIE
FALCO !!! It appears that the businesses and residents in the Hollywood and Highland
area will endure The Oscars again next year... But there is hope.. Rumor has it
moving next year the show they may move downtown to The Nokia... JACK
GRISHAM and ALICE BAG recently read from their books at The Punk Museum...
PUNK GLOBE'S own KOOK TEFLON will be presenting a show the in July of 2012...
KOOK who is formerly the artist known as MISS O is so very talented with
everything she does.... Actor/Director and now
Spoken Word performer BRIAN GASKILL has released his new action packed CD

also... SHAMELESS has been so fucking good this season... Having CHLOE WEBB, AMY SMART and LOUISE FLETCHER as some of the shows guest stars only
helped make it better ... I am so very impressed with how they have dealt with symptoms of being bi polar with the talented CHLOE WEBB . She portrays
FRANK'S estranged wife MONICA JEAN GALLAGHER who recently came back into the families life...
At first it appears to FIONA ( the wonderful EMMY ROSSUM ) and the rest of the family that perhaps MONICA is better... So FIONA who has taken on
the role as head of the house decides to take some time to do things that she enjoys.. But that is short lived... She returns home from jogging
to find all the tell tale signs of MONICA'S illness.... Stuff that she had let slip by her... The house was in a total disarray.. There has been
an accident CARL who is a mere 10 years old had been driving the car that MONICA had bought on a whim while high... She urged CARL to drive it
and he had an accident.. He was suffering from a bump on the skull that could be a concussion and turn for the worse if he went to sleep...
MONICA is in jail and LIP has discovered the Squirrel Fund is gone..All the savings that the kids had pooled together in case of an emergency....
He has to return the pricey dolls that MONICA had bought DEBBIE ... Just to get her out of jail... FIONA is in a semi state of shock... She
takes a few moments to have a meltdown and then proceeds to straighten up the house... MONI as FRANK affectingly calls retreats to bed hiding
under the covers.. Not eating or talking She is in a very dark mood. She finally comes out to attempt to celebrate thanksgiving with the family..
She gets up to wash her hands - There is a loud thump and then we see her with her wrists cut on the kitchen floor.. Luckily STEVE / JIMMY takes
charge and saves her.. While the family are at the hospital with MONICA they discover that KAREN is also there giving birth.. Everyone runs to the
maternity ward thinking they will get see a newborn GALLAGHER baby being brought into the world.. All are shocked to see that the baby is
Amerasian and has Downs Syndrome... He is obviously not LIP'S baby.... KAREN wants nothing to do with the baby... But SHEILA and JODIE kidnap
the infant from the Hospital... The writing on SHAMELESS is fantastic.. They use THE RAMONES as background music on the show!!! It has
really improved so from last season where some of the story lines just did not make complete sense... Although the acting has always been
superlative... I noticed on the credits for the show that ALEX BORSTEIN who portrayed SWAN on MAD TV is somehow involved with the show..
I hope that the show wins some much deserved awards at this years Emmys.... What will be next for Season 3 ????

C is back this year and it is better than ever... On the season opener SUSAN SARANDON appears as JOY ... LA Marathon runners got a special treat on
their run... FLOATING ISLAND from Seattle Washington has a new CD dropping on April 24th..... NCIS Star PAULEY PERRETTE was handing out cold
water to the runners on Hollywood and Highland .... PAULEY recently had a very low key Birthday..
Unlike GUS BERNADICOU who turned 18. He got gifts from JIMMY LALUMIA, ANGIE and JOEY PINTER not to mention a special birthday call from CHERRY
VANILLA . And we can't forget the special birthday card that MARC FLOYD sent him.. He got tons of love on his special day... REBECCA G. WILSON
and THE HOT WINGS did a show singing some old jazz tunes recently in a church in Berkeley.. She met some older women who were hula dancers that
were on the same bill.. REBECCA now wants to incorporate them into her act.... I recently got a chance to hang out with MIKE and YVONNE FRANKO ..
MIKE'S nephew DENE FARRELL plays bass with the band KID SAVANT ... DENE who lives in Brooklyn had a night off so we decide to go check out Happy
Hour at THE SADDLE RANCH .. We sat outside on the patio where we had a great time!!! The place was really jumping.... The next evening KID SAVANT
played an all age show at a actual hole in the wall called AMPLIFI that you enter in an ally off Melrose..... We got there early and we were
curtly informed that the place was not yet open for fans... So we had no problem going over to LUCY'S ADOBE MEXICAN RESTAURANT to have some
really great food and drinks... YVONNE sent DENE a text letting him know where we were so he promptly joined us... Luckily the bands set time
had been delayed by a half hour so he had some time to get a good buzz and a good meal. MIKE and YVONNE are two of the most generous people you
would ever want to meet. The next day the band was off to San Francisco to play.. I messaged SYD BUTLER of FRENCH KISS RECORDS telling him that
he should check them out when they play THE MERCURY LOUNGE in New York City... I think they would be a good fit for the label.... ERIC ERLANDSON
ex HOLE has a new book out called "LETTERS TO KURT" he recently read from the book at Skylight Books on Vermont Street..... PETER DAVIS has been
very very busy lately!!! His new magazine SCENE has made it's debut in New York City.....
