If I were asked who I vote for as Punk of the Month; I would vote for Helena Bonham Carter. She rocks! First off she’s an amazing actress, secondly she is married to Tim Burton, and she was also in the running to play Nancy in “Sid and Nancy”. She came to mind after seeing her at the Golden Globes. Her attire for the evening was total punk rock. She was wearing an outfit Vivienne Westwood forgot to design. Bonham Carter looked like a dressed up Siouxsie Sioux or Exene. Having made her fame in costume dramas she has stepped away from what a movie star is supposed to look and behave like. That’s punk rock! She is the female Johnny Depp. I’d go out for a show and drinks with her! Wouldn’t you? She’s played Mrs. Lovett in “Sweeny Todd” as well as the Queen of Hearts in “Alice in Wonderland” and she can still go out in mismatched shoes. Helena Bonham Carter is a punk rock lady; someone for young punk rocks chicks to aspire to be. I say Bonham Carter deserves to be Punk of the Month if not Punk of the Year! Rock on Helena Bonham Carter!!!
