Excellent performance on April 23rd 1984 at the Palais in
Nottingham, England, by these guys whom many consider legendary.
They
have indeed made a name for themselves in the annals of metal punk and
glam. comming out of the (sauna?) steam of the Helsinki scene in 1979,
even thought they sounded a lot like American classic rock n roll Chuck
Berry, anyone?); and even punk bands a little earlier, like The Sonics
and the New York Dolls, with a little Iggy thrown into the mix.
Moving from Finland to Stcokholm and then London, they attracted a sizable following and went on to inspire countless bands including Guns 'n' Roses and The Manic Street Preachers
Hanoi Rocks restarted in 2002, with key members Mike Monroe and
Andy McCoy, and continue to tour.
