Punk Globe: Can you tell a bit about The Involvement?
Eric: The Involvement is a four-piece rock band from Long Island New York. We record songs and play local and out of state shows.
Punk Globe: Who is in the band what do they play?
Eric: Eric Calabrese – bass Chase Locke – vocals/guitar John Cruess – vocals/guitar Billy Ferrato - drums
Punk Globe: How did you come up with the band name The Involvement?
Eric: The Involvement was part of a sentence farted out by John during a two week recording session.
Punk Globe: Who are your influences?
Eric: Our influences are Blink 182, Foo Fighters, Say Anything, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, Rancid, Sublime, NOFX
Punk Globe: Tell us about your new EP?
Eric: The new EP should be out very soon as we are finishing up our newest tracks. This serves as a follow up to our debut self titled EP including tracks like Hearing Negative, Veronica, So What!?
Punk Globe: What label is it on?
Eric: We’re currently looking for labels to work with
Punk Globe: Who writes the material for the band?
Eric: We usually do our writing collectively, one of us starts the with an idea and we’ll trade parts off each other to finish them up.
Punk Globe: Tell us about the punk scene in Long Island?
Eric: What punk scene…unfortunately Long Island is home to way too many metal bands and dj’s
Punk Globe: Has The Involvement toured?
Eric: We haven’t toured as of yet but are currently looking to set up dates to tour this winter. We have played numerous out of state shows and have some booked like The Flask in Portland Maine December 3rd.
Punk Globe: Tell the Punk Globe readers about your wildest show?
Eric: Our wildest show was at The Trash Bar in Brooklyn where we opened for a band call Juggernaut. We were a little skeptic just watching these guys set up and once the show started we knew why. They had costumes for each member and the mascot “Juggernaut” was a guy dressed up as a testicle. They had arrows they were shooting into the audience, stun guns and hot dogs wrapped in condoms…..the place was packed, so very interesting to say the least.
Punk Globe: Favorite venue?
Eric: Mulcahys in Wantagh big stage, light rig good pa and a sound guy whats not to like
Punk Globe: Have you played Europe yet?
Eric: Fly me there
Punk Globe: Have you been voting for Chaz Bono or Nancy Grace to win Dancing With The Stars?
Eric: Who? Who? What?
Punk Globe: If you could put together a show with anyone playing.. Who would it be and where?
Eric: Jimi Hendrix in space with no sound

Punk Globe: What is in store for the band in 2012?
Eric: Unity consciousness….. and lots of tour with a new cd
