Oh, boy. This book was deadly (literally.) Many Dexter fans were outraged with how the television series ended, let me say…readers will not be disappointed with how Dear Dexter departs from our bookshelves in this finale.
Dexter is an example of black humor at it's finest, and well, darkest. Lindsay finished the series on a high note, and readers last glimpse into the world of Dexter was one where we still adored our anti-hero. I think if the series had continued, Dexter would have become darker & darker, and all humanity (yes, Dexter does have humanity) would be too far removed for the reader to attach emotions to the character.
At a mere 307 pages, Lindsay packs one hell of a story into a tiny book. An author that truly can make every word count.
For fans of the television series, this is the final homage to Dexter you deserved.
