Dead To Me
are a San Fran Punk Rock Band that has released their Little Brother EP and the only
downfall is that it is an EP and not an Album. Little
Brother EP is 13 minutes of kickass Punk rock music. Little Brother EP follows on
from their outstanding album Cuban Ballerina which they released in
2006, and with this release they have successfully affirmed that they
have what it takes. Little Brother
is an stupendous EP bursting with poppin' melodies and infectious
lyrics. Dead to Me are
a band with grit that is able to produce their own distinctive sound.
Don't
Wanna kickstarts the EP, with catchy melodies and a highly
infectious chorus sang with raspy vocals.
"I'm banking on the fact that you won't give a fuck and you fall back
asleep."
"Arrhythmic
Palpitations" continues the poppin' melodies
and the pace, this tune builds and ends with
a massive chorus. "Remember how
scary it was?"
"Little
Brother" -- this song is the finest song Dead To Me have written to
date. This prodigious tune is the center piece of the EP, Dead To Me have infused Ska,
Reggae, Pop
and Punk, producing some sweet music changeups throughout that are all
infectious. The presence of this song on the EP begs the question -
Should of they stayed in the studio longer and wrote an album and made
a single release for this song instead of the EP? "My little brother is still getting into
trouble."
"Ran That
Scam" has a classic punk rock feel about it. "I fucking panic when you're here." "What's Wrong" completes the EP
leaving you wanting so much more. "With
words uglier that your face and the lies you're telling me."
"Little
Brother" is a must have EP and certainly sends the message
that Dead To Me is a
band to keep an ear out for in the future.
