Acetate Records has been putting out some great releases lately. None other than Vancouver's positively glam punks The Black Halos, off from a tour with Social Distortion, melts the drives with this, their unifying call for the end of apathy and lassitude. "Monstrosity" angry and pathetic, paints through to the bones; the other songs verge on greatness as well. To call these boys unbridled and at odds is to misgauge their leather for seersucker or cotton. Cold weather makes for cool exuberance.
