Ben Kweller, besides having a fun to say name, has released one of the most fun albums to ever grace power-pop. “Go Fly A Kite” is eleven tracks of pure bliss. The album starts off with the track “Mean to Me” and then continues on filling the void it creates with its perfectly popped pop songs. “Out the Door” is a great song about naivety, hidden behind a clever acoustically based rhythm. The album covers all genres of pop, and Ben paints a vivid picture with his words. The album builds and builds and finally winds down with the song, “I Miss You.” “I Miss You” is a moody ballad, about the hopelessness of love. There is not, however, a bad song on this album; it is more like the songs vary on levels of greatness…
