Filled with many of shots of nightlife on Sunset and Melrose Boulevards in Hollywood, this flick stars sex goddess Sybil Danning as Ruger, an ex-cop turned bounty hunter out to avenge her dead partner. The man she is looking for is Cavanaugh played by Wings Hauser. The plot involves a kidnapped Mayoral candidate and ties to the situation with Danning and her partner. Puerto Rican actor Henry Darrow plays the honest but understanding cop trying to get to the bottom of things.

Director Worth Keeter keeps things moving at a brisk pace and when not enjoying Hauser’s over-the-top performance there is Danning blowing his henchmen to pieces. There is a decent amount of gore effects and obligatory nude scenes (none with Danning however) putting this flick well into the realm of enjoyable exploitation. And there is a great cameo appearance by Robert (Count Yorga) Quarry as one of the baddies.

The Blu-ray looks great and the sound is fine as well with the 80’s guitar solos coming across fine. There are no extras included even though a documentary looking back on the flick would have been fun for this one. There are trailers included but no L.A. Bounty trailer. This turns out to be okay since one of the trailers included is for the Fred Williamson actioner Blind Rage and it is batshit crazy fun.
