Legendary hardcore skate rock band JFA (Jody Foster's Army) are releasing a new live Album in July, after signing with DC Jam Records in late January. The new album will be titled "To All Our Friends." This will be JFA's first release since 1999 "Only Live Once" album. After forming in 1981, JFA helped to forge the alliance between hardcore skateboarding and punk rock music, graffiting their place in punk history.
In a press release in January 2009 from DC Jam Records, Brannon made a statement about the new album.
"This is something we've been wanting to get out there for a while now so we're excited to get it going."
Well I am excited too, after receiving the extreme honor of listening to a couple of tracks from the album,
"To All Our Friends." There is much to be excited about! This album will be a must have live punk album for years to come, and is one of the finest contributions from JFA to their fans, hence the title "To All Our Friends."
The two tracks that I had the privilege of hearing were "Great Equalizer" and "We Know You Suck," originally released off the "Valley Of The Yakes" LP in 1983. The tunes contain scathing vocals, infectious dirty guitar riffs, and solid furious drumming.
VALLEY OF THE YAKES
JFA do deliver kickass fast and furiously paced hardcore punk music, in true JFA style. The recordings of the songs has captured the rawness of a live JFA energetic punk rock performance, with the crowd being heard and Brannon's on stage comments preserved in the recordings.

I have been informed by DC Jam Records that "To All Our Friends" will be released on July 15th
and will be available in Limited Edition Colored Vinyl as well as CD.
